Life should be lived like that eh? To give your all for your passion. To leave your comfort zone. To step out and take risks. =)
This is sick. Kudos to Garrett McNamara tackling that 100 foot wave. Look at the size of that thing! Takes someone with extraordinarily extreme guts to do this. He was risking some seriously bad injuries right there. Fear is not an option, indeed. Respect.

Fresh from the oven! Video of our recent trip at the Sugar Bowl Ski Resort in Tahoe! Enjoy =) The X Games 2013 has kicked off in Aspen, Colorado from the 24 - 27 January 2013. Be sure to catch the action!
http://xgames.espn.go.com/ http://www.youtube.com/user/XGames Watch Jeremy Jones as he experiences the mountains of Japan and the snow conditions up there in his most exciting expedition to date... we certainly hope to have weather like that just before we reach the mountains of Niseko during our trip in March! *psyched* Interesting statistics. According to this article on Yahoo! Travel, snowboarding is losing popularity while skiing is gaining ground. Well, I always thought snowboarding was the cooler than skiing, but it seems like they are switching places already =)
According to the article, the snowboarding trend was on an epic upswing in the 90s due largely to young snowboarders who were in their teens then. Today, 20 years on, "those guys and gals are older with more responsibilities like jobs and families and less time to spend on the slopes." (can't help a chuckle here =)) Whatever the case, TheSnowGuys support both skiing and snowboarding! =) One of our favouritest places in the world is Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan. Here, the powder never stops. It is said that the powder is blown over from Siberia. Soft and fluffy powder! Easy on the butt as well. Better than icy slopes =) We spent a week in Niseko on our last trip. It was snowing non-stop every day of the week. And this was in March! Can't wait to get back on the slopes there! Trying to organise one this March.. Hope that works out! =) Check out Shaun and what he has to say about the Siberian snow in ニセコ (Niseko) : ) Every ski/snowboard trip, my buddies and I indulge ourselves in some pre-game psyche up... Videos like this one always gets us excited, from the moment the plane leaves the tarmac right up till we collect our snowboard bags from the carousel. Imagine your own private half-pipe!
Will we see a Singaporean athlete representing the country at the 2014 Winter Olympics? Ambitious goal? Maybe. But hey, we are all about striving for the best, aren't we? =) Article links below: 1. http://www.singaporeolympics.com/news20110107.php 2. https://singaporesports.sg/News/tabid/60/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/1917/SINGAPORE-AT-THE-2014-WINTER-OLYMPICS-NO-LONGER-A-DREAM.aspx *Ahem*
