How to Dress Like a Pro - The Basic No-Frills Checklist
A quick 12-point checklist to ensure that you are adequately dressed on the slopes:
1. Snow Jacket (waterproof) 2. Snow Pants (waterproof) 3. Snow Gloves (waterproof) 4. Hoodie / Fleece Layer 5. Thermal / Inner Layer 6. Long dri-fit socks 7. Snow Goggles / Sunglasses 8. Face Mask / Protection 9. Beanie 10. Helmet 11. Camera (Optional) 12. Mp3 Player with Ear/Headphones (Optional) |
5. Thermal / Base LayerThis is designed to be a base layer that would keep you warm and toasty. Uniqlo sells such thermals (heat-tech) at fairly affordable prices. Other good brands are Under Armour (seems like they now ship to Singapore too!) and Nike. Recommended.

6. Long Dri-Fit SocksLong socks are required for the ski / snowboard boot. Dri-fit material is preferred, or something that is 'breathable' and wicks moisture away. No woolen socks as they trap moisture. Like in the case of gloves, the moist would freeze up and you would end up having cold feet. Pun unintended.

11. Camera (Optional)To capture the moments. We highly recommend GoPro cameras. The best for sports videography.

12. MP3 Player with Ear/Headphones (Optional)Optional. Only if you are comfortable with listening to music while riding. Make sure you don't lose concentration with the music on!
